Mine is not a ring neck but an Alexandrine parrot, Male. He talks very well.
His age is 8.5 years, i rescued him when he was of 8 days from a mouse cage in poor state, however he is now very healthy and lovable. I tried to fix him with another female but he did not accept her and started hurting her by biting her on her eyes and legs. Now he has got some weird habit of throwing food out of his mouth on his toys and feeding vessels. As parents do during feeding babies. Please suggest me how can i fix him with an another female, is it possible at this age 8.5 years. Is it possible that now i get him his new partner.
I never touched his wings and handled him roughly because i always thought it would ruin his beauty, i just take him on my finger and touch his head and i think it made him act like this that now he does allow anyone else to touch him except me and its becoming problem as most of times i need to stay away from home and he has to be in cage for that time.
Also suggest me how i should proceed to help him get along with new bird.
