... really a sad day for all of us... how can we imagine that this could happen to innocent tourists whose only purpose of visiting our country... is to enjoy its beauty and experience the famous filipino hospitality. it all started when a bemedalled and fully decorated police officer in search of an avenue to air his grievances and frustrations,, snapped out and resorted to desperate extremes...taking hostage a bus load of tourists from hongkong.
we all witnessed how authorities desperately tried to negotiate for the safe release of all the hostages... all efforts went futile and the authorities have no other recourse but to use force to end the hostage drama.
AND THE END WAS BLOODY!!
... to all of you planning to come to the philippines.... crime happens everywhere... but i assure you this one is just one of those we call an isolated one. the philippines is such a beautiful country and its people are very cordial and hospitable.. but anyway in behalf of the people of manila.. i would like to extend our deepest sorrow and heartfelt condolences to the family of those who perished in that fateful and tragic night of august 23...
