cinnamon gray female?

Post by opheliasotherdaddy »

 Hello to all you birdies and humans out "there!" I am new to IRN.com and want to say thanks for all of the great information I have discovered here. I had never been owned by an IRN before,(until recently) so this is truly shaping up to be quite a hilarious little adventure. She is about 8-9 weeks old now and is completely weaned and friendly. She is the amigo(in bird form) that I have always been searching for!

I have a few quick questions:

What do you call a silver(light gray) hen with a white head?
Is she a cinnamon gray?
Is there another name for this color?
Finally, how would I pair her to get a white headed, blue, turquoise bird?

Any information would help :)
Have a great day!

Hi and welcome :D

It sounds like you have a cinnamon grey lacewing or cinnamon grey clearhead fallow. But if its a lacewing it probably just a grey lacewing. if you can post a picture of her I will be able to help you out in picking the perfect male for her :D

Thanks for the warm welcome David, and for the speedy response!
I uploaded the pictures as you instructed... and I am patiently waiting to read what you respond.
It is so exciting finding out what the color actually happens to be.
One of her parents was visual lutino... I think her dad.
I think her mom was visually the same color as Ophelia. If not the dad looked like her and mom was a lutino....
thanks again,

Hi,
I am pretty sure you have a grey lacewing. They are very nice looking birds after molting.
And to your first question. How to get white headed blue and turquoise.
well a blue lacewings head would be white and look like this picture below
and the turquoise lacewing will have a yellow head, white tail, and green yellow and blue body.

Now what to pair with your grey to get both these colours? :?

ok

There is no way that you can get both mutations no matter what you put with it. If you want turquoise and grey lacewing babies then buy a tuquoise blue lacewing male. if you want blue and grey babies buy a blue male lacewing. :D :D :D :D :D if u have anymore questions just ask
