My First Pet ever...

I am so excited.. I finally got a pet and I am so glad that I chose an Indian Ringneck as my first pet... He is really an adorable bird or perhaps its a SHE.. The guy at the pet store told me that the bird is approximately 2 months old. I got him 3 days back and been feeding him baby formula cerelac thru a syringe.. Is that the right way to feed? I would appreciate some advice from a veteran. I am really so new into all this.
