Taming Tips?

Hello everyone, got a green IRN today, beautiful bird, and I would appreciate some tips.

Here's the rundown.
She's 5 months old and she hasn't really been handled before. It's been a very stressful day for her as she was removed from her small pet shop cage, put in a carry cage and then transferred to her new, large cage. Throughout the entire process the only screeching she has done is when she is being held, she also bit me. Other than that, she seems very quiet and calm.

Once she has had time to settle in, I want to tame her and get her used to hands, etc. What advice do you guys offer me? I know it's going to be a mission, but as she is quite young, I feel it should be possible.

Hi,
It should be possible to make friends with your bird. Take your time and be patient and you will get good results.
If you look through this forum in behaviour and taming section you will find heaps of threads about this.
