need advive on irn

Post by minnie »

Hey there its my first time breeding irns and I had a sky blue male and a green lacewing femail but the male flew away so I got a grey lacewing cock and his ring is very light he shows signs that he wants to breed but she does not show interest in him and I also hav e a other pair were the female is olive green and the male is sky blue with violet around his neck and I ha ve them for about 3 weeks and I was wondering since they are a bonded pair and I put them into their cage with a nest. The female has already scrached some saw dust out of the nest and I was wondering how long before she lays her first egg and also what can I feed the birds to get them into. Breeding condion much faster and what ba bie would I get from this pairs. Feel free to comment

Hi, its will take about 3 weeks to lay eggs, as for feeding, I give my birds a parrot mix which also contains Aviplus maintenance and breeding pellets, I also give Aviplus soft food mix with a little fruit and some vegetables mixed with soaked, boiled and cooled pigeon breeding mix, once in a while I also give some chickweed from the garden.

As for the chick you will get, if you have a genuine olive hen, then these will be the results

  1.0 blue cinnamon
x 0.1 DD green
% from all 1.0
100.0% 1.0 D green /blue cinnamon
% from all 0.1
100.0% 0.1 D green cinnamon /blue

Which means you will have darkgreen cock birds split for blue cinnamon and darkgreen cinnamon hens split for blue

Thanks
Lushen
