what next

I just bought 2 IRNs about 3 weeks ago they are both 8 months old. i have finally gotten 1 of them to sit on my finger for about 10 seconds or so and the freaks out and jumps off. the other just freaks out and runs away and when i pick him/her up with a dish towel she bites and goes crazy i dont know what to do. the one that sits on my finder whats the next step he wont take treats from me and flys away when i move i am lost on what should come next after that part. the other like i say cant even get close to her. please help i am very patiant and want this to work and i believe it will i just need guidance i learn quickly i just need people that has had this issue. and i hope i posted this righ bc i have never done this before just joined today. thanks for the help. catrent

Sounds like these are not hand reared birds. Two will be a handful to train as the skittish bird will influence the other and cause delayed correction of behavior. Can you separate these birds until you have developed a relationship with them both? You will find progress easier once you work with them independently.

Develop a relationship with them. Feed em,clean up after em and talk to them. You will be surprised what a little attention can do to settle them. Once they know you start hand feeding and the rest will follow naturally if you have the patience .
