I have two IRN baby parakeet.The younger one seems to be fine but the older one behaves strangely..Normally I feed him after every 2 or 1 and a half hour, but he mostly eats his excreta and when we give him food like gram to eat he does not take it and rather seems to be drowsy most of the time especially after 30-50 seconds of feeding..his food crop has very very little food all the time..But when we give him things like boiled rice,Sweet potato,Lady's finger etc. he eats it eagerly.He is most probably 30 days old and I am scared to give him anything else apart from the gram, thinking it might lead to some problem.
