Hello, I am new to IRNs
i recently got a 4 week old IRN from a pet shop and was wondering if all the noise he is making now normal? i have hand raised other birds before but none of them have ever made this much noise. i am only 16 and i was a bit concerned when the pet store owner said that i could take him home now, his feathers haven't even come through yet! anybody have any advice? i would appreciate anything you can tell me. thanks!

Hi Gemma
I'm glad to hear you've had handraising experience before.
IRNs can be quite noisy when they're babies. If you watch the video found here:
http://www.indianringneck.com/forum/vie ... 11&t=10867
you'll hear a baby noise at about the 38th second... whilst this bird is older than your bird, the noise is probably a little bit similar to the sound yours is making?
There is a great thread on this discussion board about hand feeding:

I suggest you look to that if you need any help.
Good luck with your new baby!
Ellie.
