Suitable cage?

Post by MallyKat »

I'm currently seeking a new cage for my budgies...this one comes in a pack of 2 cages, so i'm wondering, would this cage be suitable for an IRN? Sanosuke (my IRN) could use a new cage aswell, so if this cage is suitable I could purchase the twin pack and have one for my budgies and one for him.

If not suitable please tell me why and what i should look for. My main fear would be him beding bars with his beak? But i'm not sure...please help!

I would say it is not. And I say that because the cage is not very tall and the bars are spaced very close... An Indian Ringneck should be housed in something that has a bar width of at least 1/2'' to 3/4''... And it should be more like... 60'' high or so...

Hope I helped!

We recently bought our IRN a big cage... It looks like this:

I agree with Yoshi. The only thing I would add is you also need to be careful that the bars are not too wide or they may get their head stuck between them.
