Just went out side to feed my ringnecks and found my blue hen rumaging through her nesting box she is paired with a lutino cock. And I also found my blue cock doing his mating dance to my violet hen I AM SO HAPPY! this is my first year of breeding I hope I get lovely looking babies

It IS exciting isn't it!!!

I still get a thrill when I see a birdie taking interest in her nestbox and even more of a thrill when I see eggs and chickies!!!!

I saw one male do a perch dance yesterday that I never seen before. He was strutting his stuff and running up and down the perch in a 'hip hop' fashion.

lol the dances are the best sadly i missed out on any dances have found my green male & blue female went str8 into mating and seem to be using their nest box as a bed together lol i come out to greet them and find no one around paniced a few times started to look for holes to find my male slowly stepping out of the box then i setup the recorder over night and they are sleeping in the box have been the past 2 weeks ( was hopen to move them into a bigger aviary But not sure now )

yea its weird the male spends all day out of the nest and the female is in and out between each time they mate however night comes and they both go in there and spend the whole night together lol

love is in the air alright its also my first breeding season and my pair have been going through the nest box everyday feeding each other and i have even caught them in the act lol im super excited to i wish u good luck through the season
