urgent help needed !!!!!

as i have posted in adoption lost or found orchid got out of the avary this afternoon :cry:
she was sitting on 3 eggs as i have been unable to find her i put her eggs in with my other breeding pair
will kirara sit on orchids eggs? will she need help feeding all these bubs if all of hers (3) and all of orchids (3 again) hatch i already have almost everything to hand rear (picking up a fondue warmer tomorrow)

Sorry to hear.

Maybe Orchid will hang around and return since she has eggs....hopefully. :?

Last year one of my IRN accepted an egg from another hen but it was almost ready to hatch at the time and the foster hen had dud eggs of her own.

I think Kirara should be able to handle all 6 if they hatch as some birds can have 7 or 8 eggs in a clutch. Just give plenty of soft foods for her to eat.

You could always take a couple of chicks to handraise when they are a couple of weeks old if you wanted giving Kirara a helping hand to raise the other chicks.

Hope Orchid returns very soon. Fingers crossed.

Bugger not good. Hopefully kirara will be right with them. It might help to go out to the aviary in the dark and see if she found her way back to roost.

With the fondue warmer just check them out first that it heats to the temp needed. Mine was a life saver and made things so much easier.

not yet :cry: larissa thinks she heard her yesterday at about 7am so im up early to see if i can hear her
