My newest babies

Post by Datsun and Family »

I thought I would share the two ringnecks I am currently handraising for work. They are lovely and I adore them, its so nice having babies around!

So here they are, my foster children....

Image

I am seriously in love with the lutino, fighting the urge to name him.

Image

Datsun loves them too, she loves all the babies I bring home. She will sit quietly with me while I feed them and tell them they are "good girl"s, "sleepy baby"s, "kiss kiss kiss" its really funny

Now I just have to convince the other half that even though I only got my lovebird 5 weeks ago we need another bird.... how do you like my chances??

Damn this addiction!

I've been called 'birdbrained' before, but somehow I don't think this is what they meant. say:hah-nay

How sweet! I love it! Wish someday to have a baby irn! But my chances for that are slim to none. As my honey really didn't want me to get Byndi. Had to promise to let him get another gun so I could get another bird. Fair trade? He got the short end of the stick tho', in my opinion. Enjoy them and good luck with your other half. What do you do for a living? Do you work in a bird store? Or pet store?? How fun that must be. Probably don't have many bad days at work huh?? Just fall in love too much! Tee hee.

Thanks,
Jen & Byndi

That is exactly my problem! I fall head over heels and I have a contract with James that I am not to get any more pets, he knows me too well!

I only have 3 birds,a rabbit, a cat and some fish! Then theres Chux the Olive IRN and the birds I bring home to raise....

I can stop my addiction anytime... yeah right!

Yeah I work in a beautiful pet store, I love being surrounded by animals and I can assure you we look after them.

That Lutino reminds me of your Datsun and my Baby with that twinkle of mischeif in those eyes... maybe he will nudge a bit... oooone more exception.

I, too have a contract. I am thinking if I get rid of my man I can have more pets and less dishes to wash.

I have never been addicted to anything but know people that have/are and this is CERTAINLY an addiction. I'll buy stuff for my birds before myself, hands down.

I know we have all spent thousands on our babies, no way around it if they are being properly housed and cared for.

Your little birdies remind me of Chuckles and Sunny a year ago! I love it. I wish I had a digital camera when my birds were small so that I could have documented their growing up.

NO OFFENSE but Datsun should call Jenny Craig :/

Fat bugger like Baby. If you cant find her... look in the food dish.

Datsun has her pinning down... Baby still choses to do it VERY rarely. I have seen her do it 5 times TOPS! Even the babies are pinning a little and they are faaaar younger than Baby.

No offense taken  I was really worried about her weight so took her to the vet, she just turned one so my vet told me its because she is going through puberty. I have put her on a lowfat high exercise diet though, dont want the other fids to tease her!

The avatar makes her look fat but I caught her in the middle of cleaning so shes fluffed up like a little fat chicken.

Thanks guys, all my birdies are caged seperately but are socialised together everyday. Apart from Chevy (budgie) being a little jealous 7 week old Audi (lovebird) they get along famously. Datsun loves all other birds now but was very scared of everything to begin with, that why we got little Chevster. Yes my bird names do have a car theme, I figure it gives me an excuse to get loads! So many names, so little time

You can not help but giggle when you look at her. She looks like a little miniature chicken! Too cute.

Some birdie likes to have pics taken as much as mum likes taking them.
