A Question about bar spacing

I have a very nice cage that I would like to use for Raja is 1 inch bar spacing to wide for ringnecks. I have other cages Just would like him to have the biggest one possible for him.

I think it's too wide. That's big bird spacing and for a bird like an IRN that's somewhere in between big and small, it could mean getting stuck between the bars. 5/8ths is perfect for IRNs.
