Can Females talk as well as the males

Post by surferdon »

I know in some species of birs the males are more vocal because it can become a courting behavior. What about IRNs???? :?:

Both sexes can be amazing talkers and have pretty much equal ability to do so. However as with any bird just because they can doesnt mean they will talk. Generally they start around a year old.

I dont think any of us have had a baby that spoke at 5 months? Am I correct or no?

My very social six month old peeps out what I think is either 'hey' or 'treat' but she really hasnt began mimicing yet. Im not even sure she is saying anything. But, I think it is 'hey'
