Here are some pics of my ringneck Petey. Petey is about 1 year old.

Hi Clare,

What a beautiful fid you have there, so healthy looking and such a sweet inquisitive face.

Typical cheeky youngster, broken his tail feathers hasn't he, don't worry they come back and they learn to guard them as they get older :wink:

Actually in these photos he has two long tail feathers. All of the others have been cut. We got Petey a month ago and the breeder has clipped a wing and cut the tail feathers off except two.

Today however he broke one of his two tail feathers and he kept standing on it when he was climbing, so I carefully cut it where it was bent. It was almost completely broken off anyway.

Now he only has one tail feather

but they will grow eventually i guess.

Aww! You have a gorgeous birdy! Gosh, I love that first pic. So cute!

Don't worry the tail feathers will grow back. Typical youngster alright, Yoda has broken 2 so far. :roll:
