Ringneck acting strange... help please

Post by manda_0007 »

I have owned my Indian Ringneck "Indie" for almost 5 years now, he was living with my parents until I got settled and just recently moved in with me. He has since quit talking, quit whistling, and when he does try to talk, it's impossible to understand and he is usually as clear as a human. Has anyone had this happen? His diet couldn't be better, he's always eating fresh greens and fruit, pasta, etc and he also has two types of bird food. I started giving him a mineral supplement 3 days ago but no progress. I don't know what to do! He has obviously changed food and water, environment, surroundings, people in his life, climate, etc in his move, and he had been living with a cockatiel for the past 3 years, is this just stress and separation anxiety? and can anyone suggest how to help him through this? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! :)
