Hi everyone,
Its me again. I was just wondering, if my Normal Pallid Hen's parents are a Pallid/Blue cock and a Pallid Turquoise hen... Does that make her split to blue or split to turquoise? (I dont know if the mother is Pallid Turqoise or Pallid Turquoiseblue) She is just over a year old, I am planning on breeding her with a Grey/Pallid or a Pallid Grey cock next year. What do you think? Do you all have any suggestions on a mate for her. I am hoping to get lots of nice colors. What colors will I get?
Thanks for the help,
Pallid Hen Split to????

Hey Rick,
If the Pallid hen's mother is Turquoiseblue Pallid (more common variety), then she can be Pallid/Blue OR Pallid/Turquoise. On the other hand, if the mother is Turquoise Pallid, then your hen can ONLY be Pallid/Turquoise.
Who to breed it with???... the Grey/Pallid cock takes the cake. It is capable of throwing every single offspring that the Grey Pallid can. As a bonus, it can also throw solid colors such as Turquoiseblue, Turquoisegrey, Green, Greygreen if your hen is Pallid/Turquoise... or Blue, Grey, Green and Greygreen if your hen is Pallid/Blue.
