Backwards feather

Post by Paigiebear »

Hi there... I have an almost 11 week old baby IRN that I unexpectedly got when he was just 7 weeks old. He's becoming more tame by the day and flying around lots. However the other day he just narrowly clipped a door frame with his little wing and afterwards I noticed that one of his feathers is backwards. Do I have to pull it? It seems to be spooking him and/or annoying him sometimes. He doesnt seem to be in any pain and is still flying around, preening himself as normal. Also any tips on weaning and IRN specific care would be SO MUCH appreciated as I'm new to the breed. We do have a 1 year old GC conure and I do have a ton of experience with birds as i spend a TON of time at my sisters who has 2 GC conures, a sun conure, an African Grey, 2 greenwing macaws and the brother to my IRN. Thank you so much in advance!!!!
