IRN Moulting

Hi All, I got my Indian Ringneck about 8 months ago now and we love him! (at least we think it’s a him) Bruce is the first bird we have owned. He is about 1yr old now.

I read a lot about IRN before we bought him I change the toys in his cage every month, has lots of fresh fruit n vege as well as seed.

My only concern is about 3 – 4 months ago he started moulting (I have read that a heavy moult is normal at about his age?). I wasn’t concerned until I started to see some skin on his belly (about 3 weeks ago) here are some photos I took today. I can get some better ones tonight if anyone can help!

Hi Caz,

I think a check up with an avian vet is a good idea.
