Cute little baby. Don't know much about the tail feather thing since I am a new parent too. Good luck with that beautiful baby.

Hi Rabit, Welcome this is a very good site for advise.
He is going threw his first mult and will loose alot of feathers and look very scruffy,
I notice with mine that the tail feathers are the first to go. (Or maybe its just they are more noticable)

Usually the 1st and 2nd mults they loose the most.

Thanks Glenn

Hi Kim.

How is Cheeky going with the moult? Most of mine have gone through it, just a couple still are. Feel so sorry for them. Looks itchy and uncomfortable. Shame it doesn't happen over the year instead of a few months, would be easier on them I would think.

Nice cage to.
Do you put natural bird safe wood branches in there? Mine love to chew....and chew and chew! I give them different things every day to keep them occupied. They really love bottle brush and gum flowers and branches. If you do use natural items, just make sure there is not sprays etc been used on them.

Have fun with your Cheeky. :)

thats a great looking cage there. i second the idea of going around and picking up some nice natural bird safe perches. thats all i have in mine so each one is different. gives their feet lots of exercise and they like to shred wood anyways.
you have lots of room in there to add a few.
Cheeky is a cutie!

The picture looks abit boring i had just set it up and sat him in there, He didnt know what to do..

Cheeky is coming along great after his mault. Didnt take very long but now hes got super long tail feathers again.
He has picked up a new word "aaron" Is my partners name, and he likes to scream it out once i leave for work at 5am lol.

Attached some new pictures of "him""her" lol Im leaning towards Cheeky the girl.
He knows his name he goes "cheeky Booooooy" lol
