Hi everyone,
Just wondering if females do have to lay eggs? My female is about 2 years old and she's never been in contact with a male. I've heard that certain birds should lay eggs even without male contact and that if they don't they may be suffering from egg binding. Is this a case with ringnecks too? Thanks
Brent

Some females will never lay eggs, some will lay once, others might lay every year. They are all different. Your bird may never lay an egg and will be healthy without ever laying.
Egg binding is a completely separate issue and has to do with an egg becoming stuck in the vent as the hen tries to lay it. Some general information: http://www.birdsnways.com/wisdom/ww35eiv.htm
