Assistance with identifying colour of 2 birds please

Post by parebear »

Have attached the pics of both birds. Male is in the second pic on his own.
The reason I ask is because people seem to have different ideas of what "blue" means.
Plus I have no history on these birds and they have just bred so im keen on any ideas of what colors they could produce.

Any and all contributions greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance

Hi parebear,

Try taking a pic of the male in natural light (INdirect daylight) to better show the true colour. The first pic is in direct sunlight and is bleaching his colour, and the second pic taken with flash is falsely making him look turquoise blue (I know this because the same happens when I take flash photos of my boy ) :)

Based on those two pics though, my first guess is that your male is a normal blue, like my boy. Another picture with better light conditions may reveal something else though.

It's possible your female is Cinnamon Blue, yes, but again, a pic of her in better light conditions would be helpful :)
Regards Deb
