Ok, so 2 votes for no and one for yes. Anyone care to explain the no's?
Btw the second pic is not really what the eye sees in terms of colour, but shows her markings quite well and she looks so cute too

Do you have a picture of an open wing showing the flight feathers in detail?

Also, Saphire is a hen, right?

Hi,

Sorry, I didn't add any details!
She's 8 months old, the guy I got her from sold her as lavender, but was slightly puzzled by her. Ben pointed out she was edged when I put pics of her up. Going by Ben, the guy I got her off and her behaviour to our cock, She is female.
This is the best open wing pic I can get, Image
That's with artifical lighting, which gives her a brownish hue. Does it help?
As she was avairy raised and the methods I used to tame her down to being a lovely, fully flighted house pet are incompatible with grabbing her and holding her wing out, it will probably take a couple months to teach her to spread her wing properly for a photo. I got severely growled for that one, because I took liberties with her by holding her wing longer than she likes.

Woops, must've been having a blonde moment with the names. Sorry!
As soon as Ben showed us some edged pics that definitely cleared up why she didn't look like normal lavender. Just not sure if there is cinnamon too.

Your Question is: Is she Edged or Edged Cinnamon?

She is Edged alright, no cinnamon i thought a few months back, however seeing her a bit more mature in the pics could be cinn as well if there is brown in the flights as the pics show and the lower mandible fits cinnamon .

The greyish feet makes me think edged only and no cinnamon, but it is a hard question to answer with absolute certainty.

The light feet and claws has me thinking yes. I'd still like to see a pic taken of her taken in natural light ie- you stand with your back against a window holding her out in front while you take a pic.

hmm.. doesn't look quite 'right' in my mind for Cinnamon also?? In my clutch last year I had 1 hatched with light feet, light nails and one with lightish feet and darker nails- both turned out to be edged birds. Both are virtually identical in colouring apart from their feet even to this day (they'll be turning 1yrs old in Aug this year).

Perhaps SL Edged is highly variable not only in feathers but other areas too?

Pic of darker footed brother who I've kept

Both could also be Cinnamon accounting for their colour- I have paired their normal Wildtype sire to a Cinnamon hen for this season to see if he is split (Cinnamon)- Any bets on the outcome?
