Walter is cage territorial?

Post by Waltertheringneck »

Hi everyone,
I just joined this forum so hopefully this works!! :D
Walter, my little ringneck who is around 6-7 months old still does not want to be touched in his cage or on top of his cage. He loves food so when we hold it, he runs over and eats it from our hand ;) and when he is on the floor he lets you pick him up, but it is like he is cage territorial. He loves cat jingle balls so much, he flys to you when you hold them, and runs around until he finds them, so is there a way we could stop him being territorial? :) he gets very friendly around food, but it would be great to make him that friendly without food :) thank you in advance (*)

You could try moving his cage, or changing his "furniture" around, this sometimes works. But if he's affable enough out of his cage, I wouldn't worry too much, it's his bolt hole and space, and we all need a bolt hole!
