i live in lismore and the wild birds are beautiful my mum feeds the lorikeets she has over sixty at her house each day which excites her red collared lorikeet. We used to live on a massive property in kempsey and the wild king parrots would sit on our arms to feed. your pics are awesome hope you enjoyed your trip.

awesome .. thanks for sharing the pics. Just beautiful !

I love it over at my mums, naughty girl feeds the lori's nectar and sunflower seeds for the sulphur cresteds that come around. One of the sulphurs is so tame he comes to eat at the garden table with us. We call him fat head. Don't ask its just what my older bro dubbed him.

At our place too and the magpies will come and eat worms with us as we dig in the garden as do the blackbirds and doves.

We have packs of galah, gangangs, red tailed black too's fly over regularly. Ducks too.

And, when we use to be able to water the garden, we would have wattle birds come and fly through the spray clacking their beaks.

In my herb garden I have watched as the returning family of hummingbirds have increased in numbers.

I just love !! Australia and its wildlife. :D

:D We are pretty lucky here to have so many beautiful native birds.

Did you go to Currumbin Sanctuary? That place rocks! I havn't been to the Gold Coast in years, but lived a couple of hours north of there on the Sunshine Coast. Beautiful place for birdspotting!

Thanx for shareing your pics. They are amazing!

the lorries were at Currumbin.
i thought it was OK there, but a little too commercialised.
David Fleay Park was great tho, half the price of Currumbin and alot more than half as good
