Sea plants contain 10 to 20 times more nutritional values than normal ground plants. Red Marine Algae, or Dulse, has been used by people as a food staple for thousands of years. Often referred to as a sea vegetable, research has suggested that the sulfated polysaccharides in Red Marine Algae may provide nutritional support for immune health.
Carrageenans, a family of polysaccharide compounds extracted from algae, have been studied for their unique properties and immune health support. Red marine algae may also have some beneficial effects on cholesterol, other health benefits may comprise of its support towards weight-loss programs and metabolism of cholesterol and fats. It also contains soothing gels such as algin, carregeenan, and agar, which is good for lungs and gastrointestinal health.
