Please help... I have 3 irn babies which are 2.5 to 3 weeks old I am not sure if I am worrying for no reason but await learned people's answers. Mommy escaped 2 days ago which escalated the need to start hand rearing the babies. Whilst in the breeding box you could often hear them calling for food or if cage was slightly disturbed. Initially there were 4, 1died the day after hatching. The two older ones in particular worry me as they do not behave as other babies their age do, in terms of being able to hold up their heads very well, there is no real effort to screech for food, and they seem to tire very quickly and sort of flop to one side. They never appear to be particularly hungry either. We have hand reared 2 Jardine last year and although the Jardine were a couple of weeks older when we started, these in babies do not behave in any way the same. Do I need to take them to a vet? Or do I give them more time to mature?
