Hi all, Just went out to avairy to feed birds and one of my ringnecks is dead, he/she was fine yesterday talking and jumping about like usual, there were no marks on him/her like might of had a fight with one of the other birds, so was woundering if any body had any ideas? Thanks Leigh

Most people say never combine ringnecks with anything but I have never had a problem, I have got new cockatiels and put them in and new ringnecks and put them in and they all get on like a house on fire, At the moment I have 2 definite males and 3 females, the other 4 are still to young also 5 cocka...

I there have just brought an IRN blue split for pallard, it has a very dark beak almost black in places is this normal all my other birds have red beaks hope someone can shed some loght on this thanks Leigh

OK but how do I know if my lutino cock is split blue? suppose you dont, I have only ever mated him with his lutino mate and have always had lutino babies. What if hes not split can he just be lutino? Then wont I get albino babies with pairing him with blue hen?

Thanks for that, the bird is an albino hen has a creamino father and albino mother how come carnt be split? Im sure you are right was just woundering, can I get albino babies if I breed a Lutino cock with a blue hen?

Hi theres no way of knowing if she is young, under 2 she could be a he and not have a ring yet, if you know she is over 2 then yes its a she and she should be able to breed. DNA testing is the only way to tell. They all look the same until the male gets a ring about 18mths-2yrs Cheers Leigh

Wow that looks so painfull glad it was her not me, do they make any sound or did you turn that off mind you she didnt look to worried. My pair are sitting at the moment and only 5 days till the first one should hatch, I'm so excited not done this before
