if they are bonded and if they are in breeding condition, they should start breeding within the first 12 months of you having them.

He is just a little darker- but not by much. I can put pictures tomorrow if I find the connection cord tonight. I have not yet heard back from the breeder, but I will tell you when he responds.

Is she a wild ringneck? These will be much harder to tame than a domesticated variety. Congrats for getting her off the roof and adopting her, maybe some pics can help the more experienced members help you out

Am I right in being told that males carry colour genes? This is what the breeder of my hen told me. She said the colour of the hen has no effect on the babies.

Hi paul, sadly I don't have FB- but the lady I got my hen from never let me see her aviary and the bird has several issues. Her name is Solvey and lives in Canberra- she does not even let buyers have one look at her birds and cages purchases so you can leave right away

I love king parrots, they are always in my yard, and will come eat straight out of our hands! My neighbour has a pair of dulited kings in an aviary out the back so I think that is what attracts them. I love their red and green colours, they are so graceful with their chime note sounds.

so long as it is not treated, clean (washed) and not toxic to birds. Search for a list of toxic plants and grasses for birds and see. But it is probably fine, signs of toxidaty will be seen if the grass proves toxic. We pick grass from our yard and our 2 love it.
