Re: My kukku hass become furious suddenly

I am by no means a pro at this myself, but I would suggest you not "give him a push so that he can make a small flight". I believe he understands that he is vulnerable all the time, and when you push him, that is showing him that your hands can't be trusted. Can he still not walk at all? H...

Pippens84, everyone suggests apples or corn first. However, with Sunni, I introduced a little warm softened carrots and some leafy greens. Don't take it personally. These are just not cuddly type animals. They are very independent, and has been mentioned, if they are touched it's because THEY have chosen to allow it to happen.
That being said, they are still fantastic companions.

My fids have VERY long memories  I don't know that they necessarily forget, but they pick up on tiny nuances that you are not even aware that you are putting out. They are so in tune with body language since that's what their instincts go by. You have a headache? They notice. And respond (mine...

Wing clipping can be a very hot topic around here  I personally don't clip. There is something so beautiful about watching them fly around the house freely whenever the mood hits them. When we know we are going to be gone after dark, we leave a soft light on for the fids so they don't become startled when we come back. We figure, if it is dark, they are probably sleeping. Nothing worse than being startled awake by loud noises and bright lights.

I don't know much about the psychology of how our fids behave. But if I were going to chime in here (which apparently I am lol), I would say that perhaps the biting is because she realizes that you are not hurting her. Could be her way of testing the waters. "What will happen if I bite? Will th...

Black markings on his/her beak do not signify the gender of the bird. And it is way to early to determine sex if it is only 6-7 months. Rings will show up anywhere between 18 months and 3 years.
