hi and welcome. IRNs are mainly fruit and vege eaters mostly. mine goes bonkers for fresh apple slices. I generally use seeds as a treat food. I think the most important part of food is having to forage for it as this also stimulates the birds mind. pellets seem to be a good side snack too but best ...

in my opinion any bird can be trained at any age. I would probably lean more towards a hand raised baby for bonding should be a bit easier but I love ringnecks so wouldn't turn down either.
