Re: new to the site

hi and welcome. IRNs are mainly fruit and vege eaters mostly. mine goes bonkers for fresh apple slices. I generally use seeds as a treat food. I think the most important part of food is having to forage for it as this also stimulates the birds mind. pellets seem to be a good side snack too but best ...

Re: Hi everyone from a future IRN owner!

in my opinion any bird can be trained at any age. I would probably lean more towards a hand raised baby for bonding should be a bit easier but I love ringnecks so wouldn't turn down either.

good luck.

Re: Hi everyone from a future IRN owner!

hi Chris, I'm not an expert on birds and my knowledge on the aus. king parrot is pretty limited but I am happy to share my opinion with you in case it helps. for me it would depend on where I live and how much time I intended to spend with such a companion. as far as I'm aware the king parrot is sub...

hi all, well it's been a week since Sonny joined our family and I'm glad to say, settling in well. Sonny was 3 months old when I got him/her and fresh from the aviary. Sonny has taken to target training incredibly well and also steps up onto my hand when he/she feels like it. only concern I do have ...

Re: The Banana Chip Chronicles

Gotta love it! lol. I had similar with my Stevie my Red Rump and raisins, however a month later shes all about the raisins again. so if u do happen to find the banana chips easily available again it could be worth a re-visit.
