Bitter Melon/Gourd/Karela, from what I can find is fine to feed cooked. General consensus is that it is safe- but who would want to eat it. As far as I know tomatoes are pretty safe and my alex demands it, but I suggest a moderation though, I would like to know from others on this more. I have seen some concern over the acidity in tomatoes, but that is all as far as the fruit goes. Like everything, like you said, moderation. :) Thanks ...

Hello APPK1234, I don’t think you have to worry about it too much with Alexandrines as I know they are calmer. They move so much slower and are much more gentile compared to Indian Ringnecks. Indian Ringnecks seem to be the more aggressive in their species. Should your parrot go through this stage ...

my boy eats everything. I have to pierce the skin of things like apples because he will roll it around and chuck it on the ground if he cant work out that he has to bite it first. I give Mika whole apples because it takes him longer to eat it and keeps him occupied for a bit. They love to chew thro...

Hi, I'm extremely new to this, so I hope others respond, but I gave my boy some sliced apple, cut broccoli flowerets and whole grapes. He ate it great. Right Jean - while the pupils would indicate any of these - what about the accompanying body movement - is it to do with attention wanting.

Neck Movement In Alexandrine Parrot

Hi, What does the neck movement in Alexandrine Parrot mean. He dilates his eye pupils, and almost swings / snakes his neck with little mumble type sounds. What does this mean?

Hi, At what age does an Alexandrine Parakeet start to have the ring formation? When does the light / shadow black line around neck starts? The complete black takes place in a three year span but when does this very light tinge of black line around the neck start?
