Re: Video of my Lutino IRN Chatting away

That's ok :) I just thought you may have observed some behavioural pattern that suggested Tajj might be female.

Re: Video of my Lutino IRN Chatting away

Thanks Ringneck

However, what makes you think Tajj is a female? I always felt Tajj was male...

Re: Video of my Lutino IRN Chatting away

Thanks Jay, I didn't pickup on the "what you doing" at 3:40 :D I am trying to use positive re-enforcement by offering him a treat each time he tries talking. Also he is most vocal when we are ignoring him or when we are out of the room. I talk to Tajj daily and he seems to be responding. I...

Re: i think my IRN us very ill

Contact your local Avian Vet and ask them... could be a reaction to the berries or might even be bacteria from your fingers if you didnt wash before feeding them.

Re: 9 IndianRingNeck Questions

Hi there, Ill do my best to answer your questions to my knowledge. 1. Yes, all parrots should get a source of calcium. Many pellet feeds have calcium included so you shouldn't need cuttlebone. 2. You shouldn't need to trim your birds beak however you can clip its nails. Be careful in doing this beca...

Re: Is Tajj my Lutino IRN a Male or Female?

Hi Julie,

At times I do see a very faint red shade on his neck (depending on the lighting in the room) however i'm told that he is still way too young (10 months) to be visually sexed. The shape of his head is very much male however Im not an expert on IRN's.

Re: Is Tajj my Lutino IRN a Male or Female?

Thanks for that! Yea i also am guessing male due to the shape of the top of the head and forehead.

Might do a DNA test :D

Re: Purchasing an IRN... I'm so confused :(

We let it out of the cage the other day and Tajj was sitting on my lap and eating from my hand. I was able to patt its head but I got a few nipps but nothing too serious. From what i can t...

Re: Purchasing an IRN... I'm so confused :(

Thank you.. I was so happy to finally find a bird that is semi tame. He/she is already calling (whistling) at me and my parents for attention. We have been feeding it seed mix, apples, corn, pear and it loved some of my raisin toast this morning too lol from its physical features it looks like a mal...

Re: Purchasing an IRN... I'm so confused :(

I'm in Sydney...

I went and saw the Yellow Lutino IRN and instantly fell in love with this bird. He/she is semi tame and is already eating from my hand. I can tell it is still very young as its beak is still dark Orange and not quite red yet. I'll post up an intro and pics soon :)
