might get new IRN

I need to stay out of my local pet store. They have two teal colored IRN's there, about 5-7 weeks old. I will go in to see owner tomorrow (Friday) and see about putting some $$ down on one now and let them continue to feed it til it's weaned. Awww they are so cute. I've never had a baby bird before...

That is too sweet. My IRN runs from the spritzer bottle, and she's just now coming around to letting me love her. So we're not ready to try the shower yet. So we set out a nice heavy dish and let her go to town!

A NEW BIRDIE BREAD THAT SHE LOVES

Ok Ok, we all have picky eaters. Me being one of them, I expect nothing less from my fids. Well, my Scarley is being a horrid thing lately with her food. She likes her birdie breads but disects it by removing the veggies. Unless it's corn she has nothing to do with it. I have so many bags of veggies...

I have had more luck with wooden pieces from the crafts dept, some hemp twine, baby toys, wooden alphabet blocks, than I did with bought toys. But something mine loves, I take a pine cone, wash it really really well and let it dry, and smear it with pnut butter, and roll it in dried apple, bird seed...

Awww, my Scarley won't shut up now! HEHEHE She is like a three year old with her favorite question,,,'WHAT ARE YOU DOING NOW!" And I answer her in one or three word answers. She has now learned, cause my main answer is, "feeding the boys" she will ask me what are you doing now, then answer, feeding ...

Josh, like everyone said, be patient with him/her. They are by no means the friendliest of birds. I have the scars to prove it. It's taken me 20 months to be able to pet, cuddle, hold and play with mine. Don't give up on your bird. Remember, birds are like foster children. Always up rooted. Give you...

So glad Scarley doesn't entertain herself Like Indie up there. Working nights, and sleeping days, it was almost impossible to keep her quiet while I tried sleeping. So we agreed on keeping her cage half covered, but opened, she was free to flock her room and she was happy and quiet and I got to sleep.

Chili Peppers, my IRN will eat them, only when they're in her birdie breads....and this is gonna sound funny, when i cook the 13 pea soup for her (w/o seasoning) i'll throw in the dried chili peppers to soften them up a bit and maybe add spice to the beans...but i'll chop them up and add to my batte...

yellow squash

I'm rather new here,,,,but Hello. My IRN loves yellow squash. I cut it up and keep it in baggies in the freezer. I'll take a couple of pices out and steam it up for her along with other veggies. I cut cobs of corn up into disk for her as well. I'll even make jiffy corn bread with chopped up carrots,...

A SLAVE TO A LUNTINO FEMALE

Hi Everyone! I'm Terri and I'm owned by Scarley the Lutino IRN, among six dogs, four cats and five other birds. Keets n Finches. I've had her almost 2 years now. I got her from a breeder out of Atlanta, who was her 2nd owner. I know she was well taken care of there but her first home I have no idea...
