Help!!!
Hi everyone! Okay, I need some real help on this one. My girl has come into heat, as I am told, by the way she throws her head back and clucks to me. Now Zazoo has taken over my kitchen! I am not kidding, when she is out of her cage, whether she is on top of her cage or on her play stand, if my husb...

Re: Behavior change since winter onset?
I find it interesting how you have posted this about your female because for the past two weeks I have noticed changes in my female. She is two and I have been noticing that she is becoming veryyyyy territorial over things and has no problem attacking me to tell me that they are hers. I have always ...

Re: Nervous about getting an IRN because of bluffing
Hi there, I have had my female indian ringneck for 2 months now. She has been the best bird I have ever had! However, she is going through this phase the last good two weeks where she is attacking me and drawing blood. Yes! the bites really hurt! I think it is because of breeding season, not sure ye...

White Indian ringneck
Hi everyone! I have a question, not sure if it will be obvious or not, but I am thinking about purchasing a white indian ring neck and I was wondering if there are any defects with this color of bird? I remember reading somewhere that albino animals are more prone to infections. Not sure if this is ...

Re: Unsure of this...
Thanks for all of your thoughts. Zazoo will do this when I am not even touching her, just when she is on my finger or shoulder and I am talking to her. I do however, touch her head and back... Could this be sending the wrong message to her? Should I only be touching her head, if that? Also, when is ...

Unsure of this...
Hi everyone, I have a question for any who can answer. My 2 year old female has been displaying some odd behaviors recently. I have only had her for about a month now, and for the past 2 weeks when I am holding her and talking to her, she will put her head back, lift her bum up and will lift her win...

Re: foraging
Very interesting suggestions!!! I'd love to know where I can get a baffle cage from. Pet stores around here don't carry them. I was wondering if you were able to use the baffle cage with your ring necks? I wanted to see if the birds really liked it. Also, I was also curious about the kitty litter id...

Re: IRN grinding its beak?
I have just noticed that my girl has started to do this after we adopted her. I was wondering why she was doing it, i just posted on the forum about this and come to my surprise I saw your post! She mostly did it when she was quiet and relaxed, so this could very well be because she is content and s...

Blowing bubbles and grinding beak....?
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to see if anyone knows why my indian ringneck grinds her beak together and then blows bubbles??
She does this when she is sitting, relaxed and quiet.
She will also do this both inside and outside of her cage....
Not sure why she does this??
Any ideas?

Type of diet....
Hi again everyone! Okay, so seeing how I've just recently adopted my ringneck, i was wondering if anyone could tell me what they are feeding theirs? I want to make sure that mine is getting the appropriate diet. Currently, she is eating a small parrot diet and for treats I am giving her grapes and a...

Hi everyone!
Hi everyone! My name is Jeanette and I recently bought a 2 year old female Indian Ringneck. I have had Za Zoo for about a week now and she is a lovely bird, minus her screaming. I have looked at some of the posts already in regards to learning more about this and I am eager to start them with her! ...
