Fruitflies........
I have only had my parrot about a month. But I am finding I cant get rid of the fruit flies. I have taken the cage outside and washed it with a hose a number of times.......I give my parrot fresh fruit and vegtables, so I am not sure what to do. How do the rest of you deal with this? Thanks..........

Re: What kind of ringneck is this?
True about the red on wings. Perhaps the colour mutation has altered that. Because the size of the beak (and even size of the bird) are more like an Alexanderine than a ring neck.

Bamboo...
I am about to get an Alexanderine. I have lots of Bamboo, (golden bamboo) growing around my place. Would that be good to give to the bird, fresh and/or dried??
Thanks....

Help. 6 year old ringneck......right for me????
Hi, of course I realize all birds have unique personalities. But I am thinking of buying a 6 year old blue ringneck. Is this bird still young enough to bond to me and learn new things, or is it too old?? I dont know if I should get it or not. Thank you for your advice.

Re: I am single, and would like a bird.....advice please....
I only work 15 minutes from home and yes, I would spend a lot of time with the bird when not at work. I was just concerned about the 8 hours alone....but it appears that is not a problem.
Thank you for the advice.

I am single, and would like a bird.....advice please.....
Hello all. I am single and live in an apartment. I work 9-5 hours. How long is it okay to leave a parrot alone, in a cage? I assume most people have to work and cannot spend all day with the bird.
Thanks for your anticipated advice.
