I will always love you Buster
Buster I am so sorry. I failed you when you needed me the most. I can never forgive myself. To others you were just a bird, to me you were my child, my baby boy. A piece of my heart died when you took your last breath last night. If only I could go back a day. Yes, my baby, you were a good boy, the ...

Re: Hands off my birds please!
Wow thank you guys for all the interesting input. I currently do not have a birdsroom. And my 1 IRN was a rescue who came to me manhandled, and has trust issues, without a tail as it was plucked out by the previous idiot who had him. So my real issue is that every step I take forward with him, some ...

Re: Bird not playful
Hi. I made Buster and Piper a toy resembling a basketball hoop from a small hard plastic ring, a piece of wood, and some fake leather. I then strung it with seashells and plastic bottle caps. They absolutely loved the texture of the caps, shells and leather. And loved perching on top of the ring! Th...

Re: My IRN's behavior..Is it normal?

I played him the mp3s that Imran has on site from Anakin and the other ringneck who's name I can't remember right now lol! He was terrified but eventually got kinda dependent on me for w...

Need help please is Buster IRN or ARN
Hi guys so a friend brought me Buster about 5 months ago telling me its a cinnamon IRN. I had no clue about birds then but as time progresses I believe Buster to be an ARN. My reasons for this as follows He is smaller than my ten week old green IRN Piper. It doesn't matter to me if he is ARN, I woul...

Re: Help!! 10 week old IRN going wild!!
Ringnecks like the shoulder. Piper is also ten weeks, she goes straight to the top of my head, and boy can she bite! She especially loves attacking noses atm. I'm working at getting her to stop biting, each ringneck has its own personality but its good to remember that ringnecks need to be constantl...

Thanks so much. I've gotten some great advice and tips from Carmen at Mcmillan birds via email. Also learnt that Piper is in fact approx 8 weeks of age! She is starting to show interest in her peeled seeds I provided as well as loves her veg! She's just too cute!
