goldie's lorikeet- quiet voices. Look them up just for kicks if you want. Oh! I got to handle one at Bird Paradise here in NJ. SO ADORABLE! They are the tiniest, most exquisite birds that I've ever seen. I've read good things about Goldie's. To those with experience handling/raising lories/lorikeet...

They are considered widlife pests...the quakers and IRNs have been know to take over and populate an area, driving out other species. You can own one if you can find a breeder in YOUR state. ...perhaps NOT perfect together? I was browsing the NJ Division of Fish & Wildlife to see what species were on the Potentially Dangerous Species list. I knew the Monk parakeets (aka Quaker Parrots) were considered a dangerous species but was surprised to see Ringnecks and Patagonian conures list...
