Loosing feathers

My IRN has been loosing a lot of white fluffy feathers, he / she is a lutino and about 6 months old , is this normal i never see him/her pluck any feathers,

is it that time of year they might, by the way in im nsw if that helps with climates and times of year

Thanks for the info everyone on the dna testing, i would feel a bit bad ripping a feather out or doing a blood sample , wonder if it would affect the taming by hurting the bird.

I have 2 feeders in my bird cage of which one has pellets and 1 has seed, squeak luvs em both and has a feed from each, then i put another one in for treats like fruit, vegies etc then take it out when its finished or after an hour or two
