just wondering when do

IRN's start using their claws for holding things to eat and taste ect?

I have IRn who is roughly 1.25years old and she uses her claws all the time but she did when i got her - now my baby of about 3 months does not - just wondering when she will.

Fah does this work on the same principles of dogs - and the way of thinking that seme dogs try to do the dominace behaviours? Obviously not the sitting ono your shoulder but htings like sitting on your lounge chair and such like?
do the the birds in the wild have a hierachy of dominance??

I let my baby sit on my shoulder - again only if she is good which she is at the moment

Siren has turned a little tasty and wont sit on my hand without drawing blood let alone going anywhere near my head/face-lol

my gal (presumption itis a gal not olde enough to say yet) she puts her head down and pings eyes and does a little whiny whistle thing and i presum it means piss off !!!!!

Reylle i have been very careful not to over use the whistle for the dog or the cat (got seperate ones) and have like you suggested for therio whistle a seperate tune for the birds when am movng into and out of the room - if they use it no matter where i am i answer with it seems to seetle them down ...

yes i clip my birds wings as we enjoy being outside with the gals in our undercover area . whiel it is undercover it is still open enough to fly out /away (been caught once already not going thru that again).

Siren - the noise she makes sounds like a siren going off
kaly - after the indian goddess of destruction - another parrot pastime

find an avian vet :) the sooner the better and animal of any sort not eating is not good.

i know about how the wonerful little bundles can hide thier pain - my little one had a shattered hip and i did not know until we took her to the vet (2 days later)- unfortunatley we had to leave her at the vets - i support the others opinion any sign of illness or injury staright to the vet.
