Growth?

Rufus has got some kind of growth in between his upper and lower mandible. It's about 2-3 mm each way and looks like he got a piece of raisin stuck, but it's attached. I tried to get a picture, but he (naturally) was wiggling, so I don't know if it will show up well: m Does anybody know what it is a...

Rufus used to bite when he was about 3 or 4. He lets me pet him now, but not as much as Donovan, who will insist upon being petted for about fifteen minutes. Whenever Rufus bit me, I'd spray him in the face with a water bottle and he hated it. Now he only bites (and throws a tremendous tempertantrum...

I had to move the breeding pair (The Ringo and Brandy Team) into my room (now my "aviary") because they were too messy and it's too cold for them to go outside. Now Rufus, the spoiled little baby (not really--he's 7) bird brat has been coming off his cage and climbing up onto the top of th...

I keep mine in my room, but that's mostly because people complained of the mess. (tsk tsk tsk) Before that I had them in a room that got used a lot so they were used to people. I'd think you'd want to keep them indoors because of the wild animals.

Hey! I'm Kristen and (right now) I have four Ringnecks. Rufus (green) was given to me as a 12th birthday present and I've had him for three, almost four years. He's six. I got him from my first cousin's wife who breeds Ringnecks. A year later, after I had handfed a cockatiel for some acquaintances, ...
