Hi Meg.E! Wow thats so exciting, I deffinately hope you do post some pics of your wonderful lorikeets. Every now and again I see wild ones flying above my backyard and think how gorgeous they are. My mum also feeds wild ones that have become very friendly. Are the ones you are getting hand raised? A...

Re: How to start breeding?
Hi! I have a blue female and a green male and hoping they will breed this season. I have been told alot that it's best to keep the breeding pairs separate from others, but not totally 100% sure. You would think they would be ok all together except for breeding time. Hopefully someone with more knowl...

Zazu sounds like he's really progressing! And I love his name! Did you get it off the Lion King?

Hi Ellie,
Thanks for the reply. Yeah I think I might just have Cleo & Caesar in there as other people have said the same thing. Hopefully later on I'll obtain another aviary and might have some other birds in there.

Re: A Happy Ending For Hazel :)
That was a lovely story. I can't understand how some people can do that to their pets. But you have done so well and should be so proud of yourself for giving hazel a much better life!

Hi mikeb
Sorry for sounding dumb but I'm new to this. what does 'split' actually mean? Like if I had green birds split blue does that mean they'll be green with a little blue through them? Sorry again.

Re: Hi from Darling Downs, QLD, AU
Hi Ellie, Thanks for your post. I was just in Toowoomba last weekend at the Darling Downs Bird Breeders Annual Sale (where I obtained my ringnecks). I was so suprised at all the different bird species they had for sale. Hopefully this wet weather goes away soon, although Cleo & Caesar seem to be...

Babies question!
Hi, I'm new to IRN's and breeding them and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what colour babies I can expect from a blue hen and green cock. Their parent's colours are unknown. I tried to attach a pic of them but it keeps saying 'board quota has been reached'. Any help is much appreciated, thanks!...

Hoping that they will breed this season. I am also hoping to hand raise the babies. Any advice would be much appreciated. Is there any other...
