We have noticed only recently that alan will for no resason will start to shake his head up and down for 10 seconds or more?
Does anyone know what he is trying to do?

Teaching Alan to talk...
Hi, we are looking at teaching Alan some new words, we have tried saying new ones but he seems to like the ones he already knows! Does anyone have any tips on how to introduce new words?

Thanks for your reply, today he seems ok apart from he refused to step up onto my bare hand without biting hard, covered hand he is fine and he does all his other tricks for treats?? Very confused

Further to my post this morning I've got home today and my Alex is very strange and I think I'll. He won't move and is not responding to anything. He won't step up and doesn't even get angry when I touch his head which he normally doesn't allow. Really getting worried now

Well i think ive answered my own question, alan is now chatting away and not too sure but the sun is out and feels a bit warmer!

how would we know if he is malting? He is losing a few hairs but wouldnt say its a lot

Our bird will happily go into his cage in the evening but as soon as we put him in he goes to a certain area of the cage and it seems that he is trying to get out, he bites on the cage and will not give up. Eventually he will settle. Does anyone know what he may be doing... Thanks

Just wandering if anyone has an answer, 'Alan' has barely said two words this weekend, could this have anything to do with the cooler weather? It has dropped from 28 to about 22 and we have noticed the change! He is eating a bit more than normal and happy to sleep... Thanks for any tips etc Nik and ...
