Hi Everybody!!! Just dropped by to say I'm the proud owner of an alexandrine parakeet. She is around 1 week old and she's already being hand reared by her breeder. I was just contacting ringneck breeders around my area, and happened to contact an alexandrine breeder who happened to have babies, an o...

Hey girls! I've been speaking with a "pro breeder", and he suggested holding her head with my thumb and index instead of the sides of the neck, and wrapping as to prevent injuries in the wings. About clipping... I'm going to breed them in a aviary, so I think it may not be wise in this cas...

Hi! Gotta take some decent pics of my birds in the aviary, as in their cages (i think that's because are rather small) they show their backs whenever I try a pic and they aren't too good. Ramblas is in Barcelona, I'm from the opposite point of Spain, in the Atlantic coast, close to the Portuguese bo...

Hmmm I didn't explain it very well, sorry! She has a small wound, with little blood in the beak base (in the union with flesh). Her general health state is quite good, she showed a lot of strenght and reflexes when I tried to get her out of the cage (I've had a tiel shocked, and I know the differenc...

Hi from Spain!

Hi everybody! I posted for the first time, so i thought it was wise to introduce myself too. I'm a 23 year old Spanish that is starting at breeding psittacines. My love for parrots comes from my girlfriend, that has a small aviary with lovebirds and budgies, plus a 15yr old patagonian conure. When I...

How to hold them???

Hi everybody! 1st post over here! Let me explain... my blue female ringneck opened her cage or wasn't properly closed, so she escaped and hit herself against a window when my sister tried to get her. She's fine, but has a small wound with a blood spot that I wanted to check closer, and cure... Now.....
