Re: :-s HELP! Is he/she sick? :-s

Glad to read you took legal actions against them, that might save lots of other new babies and new owners from going through the same thing

Re: Scared

I can suggest some that I tried so far that mine loves a lot - he really likes sweet corn(I cook it a bit since it's frozen now, will offer fresh on season), also peas likes quite a lot, cucumber is a meh...can eat it but not too much, peppers he likes all, and specially their seeds! I tried broccol...

Re: My bird hates me?

Somewhere on this forum I read about signs about the age of a bird, someone said rules don't apply on lutino's and albino's, but anyway I have pics of this little one from his first days with us until now quite often, he didn't have that orange around his eyes in any pic until very last ones :) he/s...

Re: My bird hates me?

Yeah I saw a video of lutino and blue mating, saw how they acted but that adds more confusion only lol my little one will cluck down when we cuddle him but will do the dance to the things he likes-his toy, bottle, foot lol even peanut shell lol and I saw yesterday lutino male with ring in half formed...

Re: My bird hates me?

I think he/she can't ve more than 7 months old, even younger according to breedee but I saw post on their facebook profile when they were babies from May so I made conclusion he's in that group of chicks. Lutinos are very hard to find here and tamed ones almost impossible which is why we searched for...

Re: My bird hates me?

He/she is 7 months old according to the breeder, my guess is it was hatched somewhere around May last year, don't know exact date though. I'm not looking forward to breeding them either and wouldn't like a hen to lay eggs anyway. I've read lots about this for ither parrot species and I'm not up for i...

Re: My bird hates me?

Again my bird is sending mixed messages lol he/she does mating dance of a male and doesn't do the right-left side head move when cuddling but if it's a female my bf would be so happy :D he's looking forward that this is a female so that we can get a blue male to her lol and I'm looking forward to se...

Re: My bird hates me?

I thought that might be a reason too but he's really sending mixed messages lol since he doesn't lash out on my bf's hand lol and until recently he loved cuddles inside cage, look at this cuteness I filmed just recently and now he's nowhere close to this lol

Re: My bird hates me?

I've read somewhere they might get bitey and moody when molting, that might be the reason? I think he's starting to molt, have his 2 longer feathers fell of in last 2-3 days, probably from wings, as tail looks full still. He's about 7 months old now I think, don't know his exact date of hatch but was...

Re: My bird hates me?

Yeah I'm trying to read as much as I can about them :) this has surprised me because I'm used to a very nice and tamed bird that he was since his first days with us...He really didn't bite at all and he loves to cuddle a lot! But for some reason he likes me in any way except for cuddling him now lol...

Re: :-s HELP! Is he/she sick? :-s

I don't know how the law is about that situation in Dubai but here let's say everyone can breed and sell birds as they like, no one is checking that even they should...I got my IRN from neighbor country also without any checking or registering anywhere but at least this breeder seems responsible. Sh...

Re: :-s HELP! Is he/she sick? :-s

Well that might still be inprovement,he wants to move more is a good sign eventhough he gets tired of it due to his problems he's still being more active meaning he might be getting slightly better at least. What I don't like is that he's going for lower perches,it's not goid when they go to sleep o...

Re: :-s HELP! Is he/she sick? :-s

Is climbing up/down only to reach perch/food or he does it for other reasons? Is he climbing more or less now compared to 7 days ago for example? If he's climbing more that's a good sign, he's fighting it and getting more active. His breathing is let's say normal for his condition since he really do...

I'm really glad you got some more precised information about your bird and that new vet did x ray and blood test and ofc that your bird handled it so well :) I hope new medicines will help him get through that and that he becomes a healthy and happy bird in new year :)

Re: My parrot doesn't want to train... Help!

No I didn't "get it wrong", two Weeks is too young to leave the breeder. this exactly...I don't get breeders who sell their birds so young really...ok people who buy them may not know that's too young but breeders have no excuse. I know some breeders who let you reserve yourself a chick a...

Re: :-s HELP! Is he/she sick? :-s

hoping you get better news today and your birdie starts to get better asap! maybe it won't be a bad idea to take a blood test of your bird still and maybe check droppings for parasites if that's possible to check for them? If no given medication show improvement yet then diagnose isn't very precise....

Re: Suddenly scared Feathers

Yeah I meant millet as a treat occasionally instead of those seed blocks who also, at least those that are sold here, are considered treat so if that's what that block was for. Anything I put in cage of mine if it isn't a fruit or bowl with it he will go crazy lol so we just place it in there when h...

Re: My bird hates me?

Well sink idea we got from youtube videos honestly, but he went into it very happy the 2nd day at our home, took a bath in sink on his own and really enjoyed it, we didn't force him to that ofc just offered it. But next time something changed, I don't know why he suddenly doesn't want to go in it......

Re: Suddenly scared Feathers

May I suggest 1 thing-everything new you add to your birds cage add it when he/she's out. I learned that from y own bird. We got him a rope and when we tried putting it in cage while he was in it he went crazy so we stopped. Later when he was out we put it in and at first he was suspicious of it but...

My bird hates me?

Yes I know this is a very common misinterpretation of parrots behavior towards us but I'm worried about it and don't know really what to do(or what I did wrong). He lives with my bf so he spends more time with him but just slightly more than me, I'm always there when he is only difference is he spen...

well something she definitely didn't like about us, like I said when I went to visit friend she cuddled with me too so it can't be she hated me only lol and we had 1 before her that was very affectionate but somehow flew away to my mom, he was out and she left balcony door open by a mistake...also o...

Re: Jackson- my very agressive IRN

Hi all, thanks for the response. I agree with you all and I would never treat him like a toy! Never! But his behaviour is very deceiving. Once when I stroke him, he is fine. Cooes a bit and then suddenly out of nowhere he bits! This is what is confusing me. And I am starting to think that this is n...

Re: All about him i love! but only one part bothering me...

I tend to "punish" mine with cover when he's being naughty lol but he doesn't sleep with it because he gets scared of it and is really quiet in the morning, doesn't make a sound at all until we get up (which is pretty late btw lol) so he's being a really sweet bird about it but before him ...

Re: New arrived IRN behavior

First thank you for your reply. Now about covering him, as it is now cover is a big no no. He goes crazy as soon as we try to cover him, he also won't stay calm unless there is at least a bit of light in the room, As soon as I turn of the light he will climb up to tightest corner of the cage and lea...

New arrived IRN behavior

Hello everyone, I'm new here, as a proud owner of newly arrived beautiful lutino baby IRN but I'm a bit worried about him for now. First he doesn't eat his seeds at all. Only seed he eats is sunflower and I know it's not good for him to eat only that but it's hard to get him to eat anything that's i...
