Mav likes the balls with bells in them. Don't know if you already tried that. Pack of 4 from petco goes for about 2 dollars. He'll throw them around all day plays on the floor by himself for hours.

Do not reinforce anything. I have a 3 year GCC and a ring neck. What I have found best is if they illicit a response from you they will continue this.
