I think Mikey is fine for a girl. I have two friends that are femle and named Mikey.

Well here at my country Mikey is a common name for female pets except for mouses, so i thinks its a cool name for her!!

Smaragdine or smaragdi is the greek word for emerald - if you wana be different.
also maybe you could name her despite her colouration and go for a random exotic name
