hi, i have a beautiful 6 month old ring neck, which i hand raised, he`s very gentle with everyone but sometimes` particularly when i put him back in his cage with my femle regent parrot` he holds his foot up and attacks it, sometimes even when he`s just sitting there doing nothing, is this normal, i haven`t been able to find much written about it

My girl Jasper, does that same thing. She will sit there for some time, growl, pin her eyes and then go in for the kill. lol   She is the only one out of all my ringes that I have noticed that does this.

Well now when I think about it... My Talon does the same thing. He/She will attack it foot, but I think its a game more for them because Talon will not draw blood on itself or even injure itself. Talon just makes this really ugly noise for a bit while pinning its eyes and acts like it's foot is a toy or something.
