Well, thismorning we discovered Lola layed her first egg. Right now they are both in the nest... and I just heard Jibby talking like hes never talked before!! He was soo clear, not the usual mumble jumbled chattering. Just had a peek inside and Jibby is talking to the egg. Telling it 'I love yooou! WoOoah Yeeeah! I love YOU CHICKY!' and giving it kissies. So funny! 
YAY. My first grandchicklets! Thats if they hatch.

He calls everything CHICKY. 'Chicky' was our first bird, a cockatiel we had when he was a bub, sad story.. they didnt get along well, but chicky cracked his breastbone after falling to the tiled floor repeatitvly. (Bad wing clip I believe). Chicky plucked his tummy feathers until there was a gaping wound, the poor thing was in pain, the vet fixed him up, but he escaped from his cage shortly after while dad was cleaning outside. He never came home. Chicky was my sisters bird, my sister was only in primary school then, it was so hard on her. 
Then for a few years he named his 'ex mate.. the bell, which was originally Chickys' Chicky! Makes me wonder if he was feeling the loss of Chicky so much he fell in love with Chickys bell, that he named Chicky. Jibbys first word was 'CHICKY!?'.. now EVERYTHING is CHICKY! to him. 
Its his favourite word, apart from his name 'Jibby!'.
